Driven by Purpose: Lester's KBI

For him, work gives him a sense of pride knowing he is playing a role in helping us achieve that mission. "For me, it's about more than just a job," Lester shares. "It's about waking up every morning knowing that what we do here at KBI can make a real difference in people's lives. That's something truly special." 

In his role, Lester directs and develops team members who are passionate about delivering on KBI's mission through supply chain, distribution, and logistics operations across North Carolina. He describes his team as "driven, diverse, and dedicated," highlighting their unwavering commitment to excellence. Together, they navigate the complexities of the supply chain landscape with resilience and a can-do attitude, continuously striving for improvement. "I'm privileged to work with some of the smartest people I know, all united by a common goal," Lester proudly explains. "We all work together and contribute to a noble mission." 

Having joined the Patriot Park site nearly two years ago, his career at KBI reflects his belief in meaningful work. His role isn't just about managing logistics; it's about making a tangible difference in patients' lives by delivering our customers’ life-changing treatments. He takes pride in his and his team's efforts to elevate KBI's impact. 

When asked why he chose to join KBI, Lester emphasized the people – the exceptional individuals he works alongside who embody the company's values of high standards and collaboration. Lester was drawn to the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry and contribute to a company that makes a positive impact. “At KBI, I found a company that aligns with my values and allows me to bring my enthusiasm for people development and supply chain management to the table," he says. 

A true people person, Lester enjoys being part of his team and describes his team members as coming from all walks of life. He loves learning from the different experiences and knowledge they all bring to work each day. Lester’s love for learning doesn’t stop once he finishes work, either. He’s an avid reader and traveler, enjoys spending quality time with his wife and son, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.  

Lester’s leadership and passion for doing good permeates all that he does. His personal values align with KBI’s purpose, and it drives his work each day. “I believe in honest work, and there's nothing better than to do what you love and do it well,” he affirms. “There’s a special feeling knowing your work helps others – and that’s a blessing.”
