Karla is a proven technology and business leader, with an impressive track record driving the adoption of emerging technologies and transforming business models across a range of industries and global organizations. Prior to joining KBI, Karla served as the first Chief Technology Officer at Momentus Capital, where she advanced the organization’s digital capabilities, amplified its cybersecurity and data practices, and delivered technology and business process solutions to support the organization’s next level of growth, efficiency, and profitability. Karla previously held technology, innovation, and business transformation leadership positions at Airlines Reporting Corporation, Meta Platforms (Facebook), MissionSquare Retirement, Marriott International, Perspective Technology Corporation, and Mobil Oil.  
 
Karla earned a BS in Computer Science and MS in Information Systems from Virginia Tech, where she serves on multiple Advisory Boards, in addition to her other Board work in the technology and nonprofit sectors.
